After, reading in the 6080's manuel that it's not possiable to compair the internal light meter's reading to that of an outside meter, I began to be somewhat concerned. Do you have to compensate for diferent focal length settings? Also I can't seem to locate any definitive info on what shutter angle it has. Anyone out there have any experience or advice about this?
Thanks,
Trent

The shutter angle is 220 degrees and is classed as an XL 'low light shooting'camera.

All Super 8 caemras except the Bealieu's have a beam splitter for the viewfinder, which eats up some light.
That's why the meter reading will not exactly match an external meter.
It's not just the Nizo, it's all other cameras.
As long as the internal meter is working correctly, you're going to have better luck using that.
However, since most of these eat 1/3-1/2 a stop, AND reversl film looks better underexposed a bit, then it wouldn't be bad to use an external meter.
The result will be that your film will be a little underexposed, but be careful with this.
I would run tests; shoot a test chart of something else using both the internal and external meter, to see exactly how differen they are.
Shoot at several different f-stops to see what your margin of error is.
